Living on this tiny island city state,we are fortunate to be in company of
so many people in many different countries with diverse cultures.Even in
the earlier days of the country,our forefathers came from not only the
surrounding region but also as farther away as China and India.And now
when you walk in the streets,what you see is a cosmopolitan city with a rich
tapestry of cultures each with its own unique tradions.customs and beliefs.
These very melting pot of people is what makes us unique as we enjoy the
vibrancy of life and as we lived in harmony with one another.This balace
is achieved through our interactions with one another as we grow up with our
neighbours,met them at social gatherings,work with them and for the men,
serving their national service.It is only through mutually respect,immersion and
integration that we can all understand our shared values.
