Abstract:“Question and answer” is an important mode of the classroom interaction.Well-designed questions may help to stimulate students’ interest and activate the classroom atmosphere.The present paper firstly points out some problems in terms of teacher questioning in current English teaching.Then it puts forward some practical techniques to improve the teacher questioning so that better teaching results might be achieved.
