匡衡勤學(xué)而燭,鄰居有燭而不逮,衡乃穿壁引其光,發(fā)書映光而讀之.邑人大姓文不識(shí),家富多書,衡乃與其傭作而不求償.主人怪問(wèn)衡,衡曰：“愿得主人書遍讀之.”主人感嘆,資給以書,遂成大學(xué).
譯文：
匡衡勤奮好學(xué),但家中沒(méi)有蠟燭照明.鄰家有燈燭,但光亮照不到他家,匡衡就把墻壁鑿了一個(gè)洞引來(lái)鄰家的光亮,讓光亮照在書上來(lái)讀.同鄉(xiāng)有個(gè)大戶人家叫文不識(shí)的,是個(gè)有錢的人,家中有很多書.匡衡就到他家去做雇工,又不要報(bào)酬.主人感到很奇怪,問(wèn)他為什么這樣,他說(shuō)：“我希望能得到你家的書,通讀一遍.”主人聽(tīng)了,深為感嘆,就把書借給他讀.于是匡衡成了大學(xué)問(wèn)家.

Borrowing Light through a Hole in the Wall
In the Western Han Dynasty,there Was aman called Kuang Heng.When he was young,he worked very hard,but there was no candles for light in his home.His neighbor had the candles,but the light could not reach his house.Eventually,a hole was dug into the wall through which the light of his neighbor could come in,by the night,he resd and read.There was a rich man,called ChengBushi in the village nearby,who had a great many books.Kuangheng went and offered to work for him without pay.The landlord was curious and asked why he did so,he said:"I hope I can get your books,and read all of them." Touchedly ,the lordland agreed and lent him his books.So Kuangheng became a great scholar.是的，你放心寫吧！
