My favorite Chinese festival is the Springfestival.The date of the Spring festival every year is not a fixed one,which just depends on the lunar calendar.But when people are expecting this great festival in winter,they usually feel so excited,because it is the very time for family reunion,for good wishes for the coming new year,and for meeting with friends who you may not see for a long time.After a year’s hard work ,everybody need a rest and a new plan for the new year.All this might be done during the Spring festival.
For children,happier might they be than adults,for they usually receive numerous blessings from parents,grandparents,and other relatives with bunches of gifts and red packages with money!It is a old Chinese tradition to give children a red package with money to bless they have a peaceful and happy new year.Therefore,the kids might buy the things that they long for with the money.
It is a happy time for all the Chinese in the Spring Festival.You can see the smiles on the faces of people who enjoy themselves ,which indicate the beautiful dreams in early springtime.
