I think it is best to use English when teaching foreigners to speak Chinese,because first,when you teach the foreigners to speak Chinese,you are better at speaking fluent standard Chinese than English; and secondly,the foreigners who you teach are learning Chinese,not English,you should speak more Chinese for them to listen and study.If you always speak English to them,they are not learning Chinese,but your "Chenglish".This is similar to us English learners in China.When we are learning English from a foreign teachers,if the foreign teachers always use Chinese to teach,how can we know how they foreigners speak and think in English.
