求教：賓語(yǔ)從句中疑問(wèn)句的語(yǔ)序

我不知道第1題中能不能用“what the matter was”?第2題中為什么選A不能選B?不是說(shuō)賓語(yǔ)從句后面要用陳述句的語(yǔ)序嗎?
我覺(jué)得第2題中的who knows 應(yīng)該是就是要用單數(shù)形式的吧，因?yàn)槲覀兤綍r(shí)不是經(jīng)常會(huì)說(shuō)who knows?
