5.4.2 Power Supply
The basic requirements for the electrical facilities of the plant are described hereafter.
1) The 380V distribution system will be double radial type.The above systems will be sectionalized by the tie circuit breaker.
2) Each transformer in the dual radial system will be capable of supplying 100% normal running load.
3) The 380V bus tie breaker will normally open and the system operates as two systems,but the two transformer will not operate in parallel.
4) Bus tie breaker iselectrically interlocked with circuit breakers,so that it can not be closed unless one of the incoming breaker is open.
5) When one of the incoming feeders trips,the 380V bus tie breaker is closed automatically with delayed action by means of the other incoming feeder is capable of carrying the entire load current and sufficient switch gear capacity is provided.
6) Automatic transfer system for 380V critical loads are fed from diesel generator when there is a power failure on the bus bar.The automatic starting time of the diesel generator has been foreseen approx.15 seconds after input starting order.
Power supplied and sent to the B/L by the Buyer is as follows:
Driving power 380V?5% 50Hz 3 phase AC
Lighting power 380V/220V?5% 50Hz AC
Instrument power 110V 50Hz 1 phase AC
Motors' power is directed supplied by MCC in which short circuit and over-load protections are provided.It required,each motor can be started and stopped at field or remotely controlled.Its power is from its motor circuit.
There is a set of power condenser in the proposed plant.It makes the power factor reach 0.9.All electrical equipment and materials are designed to meet anti-corrosion requirements in the plant.
