my concern about this goal when he asks:"Is each of us simply an isolated consciousness,bound by space and time to the body we inhabit?
One among five billion other self-conscious individuals who have been
given a brief window of experience onto this world?...Can we be sure
that our individual self is not part of some eternal consciousness temporarily
peeking out through the senses of this body into the physical
world around?Could my sense of separateness be just an illusion?”
