在吉首市乾州,從人民路往南行,在大約距吉首城區(qū)7公里處的東南方向,有一所歷史悠久的中學(xué),它就是湘西人民引以為豪的省重點學(xué)校,我親愛的母校--湘西自治州民族中學(xué),它是孕育了無數(shù)人才的搖籃. 學(xué)校的建筑面積達(dá)160多畝,建于1836年,目前正在大規(guī)模地擴(kuò)建中. 學(xué)校的大門是精心設(shè)計的現(xiàn)代化建筑,別具特色,走進(jìn)校門,首先映入眼簾的是一片寬敞的平地,由別致小巧的白色、粉紅色小瓷磚鋪墊而成,它是同學(xué)們的一處活動場,左側(cè)有一個小小報刊亭,供同學(xué)們隨心所欲地選擇課內(nèi)外書籍.平地的正前方是一個小花壇,呈半圓形,精雕細(xì)琢的花壇圍欄是一道美麗的風(fēng)景線,另外,多座名人的雕像整齊地排列在花壇里,莊嚴(yán)肅穆,有偉大的科學(xué)家愛因斯坦,有學(xué)識淵博的教育家孔子等.他們是我們的榜樣,激勵我們學(xué)習(xí). 穿過平地向左拐是運動場的正門,這是一個多功能的橢圓形運動場,400米跑道環(huán)繞著寬闊的足球場,綠茵茵的草皮受學(xué)校的特殊管理,男同學(xué)們在球場上大顯身手,一派欣欣向榮的景象,運動會等大型活動都在這里舉行. 站在運動場的中央,按平面圖方向,抬頭向西望去,兩幢樓房佇立在多級臺階以上,這里是學(xué)校的靈魂中心--教學(xué)大樓,左邊的一幢共有5層,右邊的共有8層,教室的分布按照年級化分,便于管理,教室高約3米,寬約6米,長為11米,明亮的玻璃窗,嶄新的桌椅,給我們營造了良好的學(xué)習(xí)環(huán)境. 向東望去是高六層的逸夫科技大樓,這里有生物實驗室、物理實驗室以及高科技技術(shù)的多媒體教室、計算機(jī)房,大家都認(rèn)真的完成每一次任務(wù). 科技樓的后面,是美名為桂花園的小園子,桂子花開,十里飄香在這兒體現(xiàn)地淋漓盡致,高大的樹木,青青的綠草,再配上典雅的石桌石凳,好一幅優(yōu)美的圖畫,幽靜的環(huán)境吸引很多同學(xué)來此晨讀等,在樹叢茂密處是藝術(shù)人類的天地,鋼琴、古箏、吉它……這兒應(yīng)有盡有,美妙的樂聲傳遍整個桂花園. 學(xué)生宿舍緊挨著桂花園,一共有七棟,結(jié)構(gòu)各有不同,女生宿舍的右邊是通往食堂的小路,有我們自己的詩墻,很有文學(xué)氣息；還有幾塊小草坪,由鵝卵石鋪成的小道穿插在其中,羅盛教塑像挺立在正中央,我們將永遠(yuǎn)記住這位 偉大的戰(zhàn)士…… 草坪的正前方是新修建而成的食堂,大樓共三層,頭兩層是學(xué)生食堂,第三層則是供老師使用的,設(shè)施等還算完善. 當(dāng)然,以上只介紹了學(xué)校的一部分,卻足以體現(xiàn)學(xué)校的合理布置,我相信在這片土地上會誕生更多的棟梁之才.
