我完全不知道什么是狀語從句...基本上我不會從句子類型來解析,以下是個人愚見：
You should have = 你（當時）應該/你本該（在講述/檢討一件事）
You should = 你應該（現(xiàn)在時）
You should have put the book where you found it.
你應該要把書放在你找到它的地方.（意思是你放錯位/沒把書放回去）
你假如要加to的話就要加back
You should have put the book 【back to】 where you found it.
你應該要把書放回原位.
put it to有其他含義,假如你要說的是“放XXX到XXX”put后面不加to,而是直接指出那個地方
例：put it there / put the book on the rack
（我們不說put it 【to】 there）
