Nowadays,with the development of computer technology,it is possible for students to study at home without going to school.However,whether students should study at traditional school or not different people may have different opinions.As far as I’m concerned,I strongly suggest that we must not abandon traditional schools though it is possible to study at home and there are two main reasons that I will outline below.
First of all,as we all know that school is like a mini society,students would have to deal with various kinds of troubles when they are studying at school.Through solving these problems students can learn many useful skills which are extremely important for them in the future and help them integrate into society easily.For example,by giving presentations to his classmates,a kid can tremendously improve his skill for speech and would not be afraid of public speaking any more.This,of course,cannot be acquired by studying at home.
Secondly,the school’s environment is more suitable for study.Students could discuss and solve problems together while studying at school.Besides,the teacher of a class can make his students concentrate on the knowledge they are about to learn and not be disturbed by other things.On the other hand,if students study at home,they could easily turn to other things which they think are more interesting such as playing computer games or watching movies and consequently ruin their studies.This happens frequently especially among young students.Therefore,it is clear that we need somebody to supervise students’ learning which is nearly impossible when studying at home.
In conclusion,there is no doubt for me that students should study at traditional school rather than study at home,because they can both learn useful skills and focus on studies at school instead of becoming an indoors man who stay at home all the time and cannot integrate into society.
