（1）another指不定數(shù)目中的“另一個(gè),又一個(gè)（三個(gè)以上）”,用來(lái)代替或修飾單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞.例如：I don’t like this one.Please give me another.
（2）other意思是“另外的,其他的”,修飾復(fù)數(shù)名詞.例如：
What other animals do you like?
（3）the other通常指兩個(gè)中的“另一個(gè)”.例如：She has two daughters.One is a teacher,the other is a doctor.
（4）others泛指“另外的人或物”.例如：Some people like swimming,and others like boating.
（5）the others特指某范圍內(nèi)的“其余全部的人或物”.例如：There are forty books in the box.Ten are mine,and the others are my father’s.
