As作連詞引導(dǎo)時間狀語從句時,著重強調(diào)主句和從句中的動作同時發(fā)生,并且從句通常放在主句之前.歸納起來有下列兩種情況:
1)狀語從句的謂語動詞是持續(xù)性動詞,從句時態(tài)常用進行時態(tài).
如:①As he Was waiting,he suddenly heard a voice from above……
②As Bethune and the other doctors were climbing the hills,they could see the enemy entering the village in the valley below.
2)狀語從句的謂語動詞是終止性動詞,從句時態(tài)常用一般時態(tài).
如:①As she stood there,she heard the first bell.
②As they looked up,they saw another cloud coming towards them.
