Powerful mudslide struck Zhouqu,a county in Northwest China's Gansu Province.
On August 7th,2010,Zhouqu was struck by a powerful mudslide.The disaster claimed over one thousand lives; houses were destroyed making many people homeless,water shortage,electricity failure and food shortage were added problems.The government took immediate action to ensure people's basic need.Donations in money and kinds poured in from all over the country,and the people in Zhouqu have finally overcome the tragedy and started their new lives.I think this is the best example of the tenacity of the Chinese people,we can defeat anything with our love,care and strength.(96)
