It seems that everyone needs friends throughout his life, so when we talk something about friendship, someone may think that it is too common to refer to it. Especially in the university campus, some students are no longer taking the concept of friendship seriously. But I will say, friendship is still indispensable in the university.
Different people may have various experiences during their lives. Only those unforgettable past events that we have really experienced can touch off our true feelings. For example, if an experienced man tells us his success and failure, ups and downs, and gives us lots of suggestions to follow, most of us would pay no attention to them, even though these words are mostly reasonable. What we are longing for is the true atmosphere with the true thought following it.
Every time I talk with others about my friends, I just refer to those I have met in my Middle School times. Because in the old days with them, I was happy, confident, warm-hearted with smile in the face every day. And so were them. I had so many close friends around me, meanwhile, I could get on well with every one of them. If you are friendly to others, they will consider you as what they are to you, such is the human nature that friendship is the mutual relationship. When I was in Senior three, together with so large number of students, I had to face the Entrance Examination for College. So in my classroom, tens of students had the same dream to enter a famous university! Our main task was to study all say long, to solve so many difficult problems that we came across in the simulated examination papers. If we had any puzzle on the solution to the questions, we could often turn to our classmates for help, but not the teachers because they were not always with us in the classroom. So groups of us could build undoubted friendship. We owned thanks to one another and we lived in such an extremely harmonious atmosphere that few of us would forget this period of life.
I still remember five girls of us are the best friends. We were all the earliest ones to go into the classroom in the morning and the last ones to leave there. In the campus, we always went to the dormitory building or the dining room in twos or in threes. Five of us were all excellent students in class. If one of us feel behind in study, the rest four would help her till she caught up with the rest. At last, after the final examination during our Middle School times, we all realized our dream. Now, we are in different universities to continue our further education. We still keep in touch with the rest four. Because we were once a complete union. And all of us have benefited much from our friendship!
Above experience is just only a part of my life. All of these wonderful things are due to the same dream and aim, the limited space to live in so that we can stand so near to each other.
But now, we are all college students, here, we have relatively larger stage. Every one is busy with what he is concerned with, taking no notice of others’ situations. So we can say that individualism is so obvious. Some of us want to study harder than before, to be a postgraduate; some of us want to strengthen the comprehensive ability, to hurt for a better job after graduating; some of us just want to enjoy the glorious college life… In the college, we don’t have a fixed classroom any more, so classmates are not with each other all day long. Only when we are in class, can we meet our classmates. It is harder for us to do one complete thing together. All of us get used to our own way of living here. Who is my real friend as before? I am lost in thought…
It is reported that more and more college students choose to suicide. Cases that college students jump from high building are not rare any more. So psychology is popular nowadays since the majority of the college students have more or less mental health problems. We are told that the cause of such tragedy is due to our helplessness. When a college student is in trouble, he is unable to find any close friend to turn to. If the mental pressure last long, one would go mad.
Well, my friend, if you are still lonely, still walking through the campus alone, still wandering how to solve your own business perfectly, why not open your mind, treat others with earnestness? You will surely gain more than you have expended!
Usually, the solution to a problem is simple and easy, but the problem is whether you can find the critical point.
Life without friendship just brings pains and sadness to us. But all of us want to live happily with so many people caring about ourselves. While friendship can produce warmth around us. So, what else are you standing alone there waiting for? Just take action! Friendship isn’t far away from any one in the world.
Please remember it for ever that friendship is the mutual relationship!
