樂(lè)廣曾經(jīng)有一個(gè)極為親密的朋友,很長(zhǎng)時(shí)間沒(méi)有來(lái)了.樂(lè)廣問(wèn)他原因來(lái).客人回答說(shuō)：“上次在你這兒玩,你請(qǐng)我喝酒.我正要喝的時(shí)候,突然看見(jiàn)杯中有一條蛇,當(dāng)時(shí)心里甚為厭惡.喝下去以后,我就病倒了.”
正當(dāng)那個(gè)時(shí)候,樂(lè)廣家里的墻壁上掛著一去弓,那弓上用油漆畫(huà)了一條蛇.樂(lè)廣心里猜想客人所見(jiàn)杯中的蛇,也許就是這支弓的影子.于是重倒了一杯酒,放在原先的位置上,問(wèn)客人道：“你在這酒中有沒(méi)有看見(jiàn)什么?”
客人回答說(shuō)：“我所看到的,同上次見(jiàn)到的一樣.”樂(lè)廣就向客人講明了原因,使他明白杯中的蛇不過(guò)是弓的倒影.客人心中的疑團(tuán)一下子解開(kāi)了,久治不愈的毛病不久就好了.
