ALL/WHOLE
1.all與whole都有“整個 ”“全部的”之含義.一般來講, all可以修飾各類名詞, 且限定詞要放在all之后. 而whole 只能修飾具有整體意義的單數(shù)名詞, 且限定詞要放在whole 之前.
(1)all the money/ all the time/ all the country/all the students/ all my life/ all my books
(2)a whole roast duck/ the whole class/the whole city/the whole nation/my whole life
2.一般來講,whole 不能修飾 復(fù)數(shù)可數(shù)名詞, 但是若復(fù)數(shù)可數(shù)名詞前有具體的數(shù)量詞時, 則可以用whole .
(3)three whole days / all three days
3. all與whole都可以用來修飾專有名詞,但是用whole修飾專有名詞時,一定要帶of .
(3) the whole of China/ all China
(4) the whole of Chinese history/all Chinese history
4. all 獨立使用時, 在句中,可以做主語,賓語和同位語.whole 獨立使用時, 在句中可以做補語.
(5) All are present.
(6) I have finished all today.
(7) They are all teachers.
(8) I like them all.
(9) The man ate an egg whole.
(10) Roast ducks are ducks that roasted whole.
