The Spring Festival is the most important holiday in China.During that time,people will pour out their money to buy presents,food,and clothing.Every family thoroughly cleans the house in hope of sweeping away any ill-fortune.Windows and doors will be decorated with red paper-cuts and couplets with popular themes of "good luck".On the Eve of Chinese New Year,families gather for their annual reunion dinner.Food will include such items as dumplings,pigs,ducks,chicken,fish and sweet delicacies.The family will end the night with firecrackers.Early the next morning,children will greet their parents by wishing them a healthy and happy new year,and receive money in red paper envelopes.I love it because it is a tradition for people to forget all grudges and sincerely wish peace and happiness for everyone.
