Topic:Today,the high sales of popular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising and not the real needs of the society in which they are sold.To what extent do you agree or disagree?Everywhere,and almost at any time.We find ourselves surrounded by all sorts of advertisements.on TV,on bus,in street,or even on a small hand-made pen.Believe it or not,the importance of advertising has been growing,and it exerts significant impact on the decision of consumers.
Dr.Wang from the Beijing university declared that the ideas of average people are restricted to various advertisements.Once a person saw an attractive advertisement,they tend to be compulsive to buy goods,no matter whether those are useful.What's more,they share this advertisement to their friends,and their friends also follow their advice,which is also give rise to the sales promotion.Finally,with the frequent and often vivid advertisements,we are restricted by a variety of advertisements.
Other individuals argue that the goods that are sold by advertisements are necessary and quite useful to daily life and social progress,as well as the quality of the goods,which are considerably good.Therefore,advertising may not only enables people to make a better choice,but also enhance the reputation and recognition among different brands in terms of its vivid coverage.On the top of it,advertising is leading rather than restricting the choices made by consumers.What is more,with the help of advertising,people tend to know totally what they want to buy and why they should buy it.
As far as I am concerned,advertising should be encouraged to enhance its reliability.Only in this way can advertising exerts a better influence on the decision of costumers rather than restrict their minds,which may also contribute to the national commercial communication or interaction.
