Comparative degree & Superlative degree:
一、比較級構(gòu)成方式：
A．a(chǎn)dj / adv + er / est
poor→poorer→poorest fast→faster→fastest
B．詞尾e + r / st
large→larger→largest fine→finer→finest
C．重讀閉音節(jié)中短元音 + 輔音詞尾→雙寫輔音詞尾 + er / est.
big→bigger→biggest hot→hotter→hottest
D．輔音 + y→i + er / est
dry→drier→driest angry→angrier→angriest
E．多音節(jié)形容詞及副詞：
more + adj / adv most + adj / adv
F．不規(guī)則變化：
good / well→better→best
bad / ill→worse→worst
many / much→more→most
little→less→least
late→later→ / latest
late→latter→last
far→farther→farthest
far→further→furthest
【用法示例】
比較級用于二者相比較,由than構(gòu)成比較狀語從句：
（1）筆記要點：兩個相比較的主語必須相對應(yīng).
...He looks stronger than I(do).
...The climate of Shanghai is hotter than that of Beijing.
...My Schoolbag is larger than hers.
...The book is much more interesting than that one.
（2）筆記要點：兩個形容詞比較級由 and連在一起,表示“越來越……”
...It is getting colder and colder.
...She is becoming more and more beautiful
.
（3）筆記要點：這種句型結(jié)構(gòu)表示“越……越……”
...The older we grow,the poorer our memory will be.
...The earlier we start,the sooner we'll get there.
（4）筆記要點：二者之比較.而Of the three girls,she is the cleverest.
...I prefer the cheaper one of the two books.
...Of the two brothers,he is the cleverer.
最高級構(gòu)成方式：
三者或三者以上進行比較,“the + 形容詞 / 副詞est”.

John is the tallest of the three.
He runs fastest in our class.（副詞的最高級the可省略）
This is the most difficult book I've read.
(2)
He is cleverer than any other boy in the class.（有than時只用比較級）
She is younger than all the other students.
