Good performance capture is as important as s important as the motion capture camera system when it comes to creating believable CG characters.In of itself,performance capture is a not new phenomenon and has long been used for visual effects creation.Early uses of performance capture date as far back as Titanic in 1997,and it has been essential to the successful completion of a diverse range of projects– from X-Men to Beowulf– as well as the creation of some truly memorable movie characters– such as Gollum in The Lord of the Rings.
