1.分數(shù)做主語,關鍵是看它代指的是什么名詞的比例.
2.其判斷原則和分數(shù)后面加了“of + 名詞”做句子主語判斷一樣.
如果of后面是可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)形式,則謂語動詞也用單數(shù)形式（三單）；
如果of后面是可數(shù)名詞復數(shù)形式,則謂語動詞也用復數(shù)形式；
如果of后面是不可數(shù)名詞,則謂語動詞也用單數(shù)形式（三單）.
3.例如：
1）Two thirds of the desk is painted red.
the desk為可數(shù)名詞單數(shù),則動詞用三單is；
2）Two thirds of the studnents in my class are boys.
the students是可數(shù)名詞復數(shù),所以動詞也用復數(shù)形式are；
3）One fifth of the water comes from the underground.
the water為不可數(shù)名詞,所以動詞也用三單形式comes.
4.但是當分數(shù)詞修飾population時,則謂語動詞一律用復數(shù)形式.
如：Seven tenths of the populaiton in China are farmers.
