My topic is:Growing with Beijing,Growing for 2008
For Chinese people,the year of 2001 was important.On July 13,Beijing succeeded in bidding for the 2008 Olympic games.
I can’t forgot that numerous people stayed up that night and on TV I saw people walking on the Chang’ an street and waving the national flags excitedly.
My mother had told me that in 1993,before I was born,in Monte Carlo,Beijing suffered defeat by Sydney (for the right to stage the 2000 Games 可以省去).She was so disappointed as the result announced.But our country didn’t give up,every people works harder and harder,and look forward the next chance,therefore the success comes a hard way.I feel so lucky to growing up in these years,and share the gladness with our country.
We have every reason to believe that Beijing will deliver a truly memorable Olympic games to the world,and I will do what I can for Beijing in 2008.
