results to make astronomical calendar.To the Song Dynasty,the calendar has
made great progress,but that Zu Chongzhi may not be accurate.He based his
long-term observation results,create a new calendar,called "Daming calendar".

solstice points) the number of days,with modern scientific determination is

ad,Zu Chongzhi asked the emperor Xiaowu promulgated the new calendar,Emperor
Xiaowu summoned officials discussed.At that time,there was an emperor.
Minister Dai Faxing out against,think Zu Chongzhi is arbitrarily change the
ancient calendar,discard the classics and rebel against orthodoxy behavior.Zu
Chongzhi was in his study data to refute Dai Faxing.Dai Faxing relied on the
emperor favour him,arrogantly said:"the calendar is the formulation,the
generation should not change." Zu is not a bit afraid of.He says gravely:"if
you have the facts on the ground,just take out the debate.Don't talk to scare
people." Emperor Xiaowu want to help put the SG,find some know calendar people
debate with Mr Zu Chongzhi,also a Zu Chongzhi refuted.But the emperor Xiaowu
refused to issue the new calendar.Until after the Zu died ten years,he created
