reason做先行詞時候后面?zhèn)€的關(guān)系代詞有很多種情況的
1.That is the reason __that______ he can’t say.
定語從句里面的,he can';t say修飾reason,本題意思：那就是他不能說的理由
具體特定解釋一下：
The reason why he could not go there was that his grades were too low.
The reason why...is that...這是特定句型,why引導(dǎo)定語從句,is后的用詞為that,一般不用because.
The reason why she did it is that she wouldn’t let her parents feel disappointed.
該句中的why引導(dǎo)一個定語從句,而that引導(dǎo)表語從句.

注意以下三種結(jié)構(gòu)：
① The reason is / was that clause.當(dāng)主語是reason / cause時,一般不能用because或why引導(dǎo)表語從句,以免造成語意重復(fù).
The reason why/for which(也可以省去) he was late was that he got up late.
他遲到的原因是他起床晚了.
②當(dāng)主語是This / That時,可以由because / why引導(dǎo)表語從句.
He got up late.That was why he was late for class.
He was late for class.That was because He got up late.
(2)why在句中是關(guān)系副詞,引導(dǎo)定語從句,修飾先行詞reason,同時它在定語從句中作狀語,此時why = for which,但要注意：關(guān)系詞在定語從句中做主語或賓語時,要用關(guān)系代詞that或which.
The reason why/for which(也可以省去) he was late was that he got up late.
他遲到的原因是他起床晚了.
The reason that/which/(也可以省去) he gave you was reasonable.
他給你的理由是合理的.
