Dear Steve,
I've learned about your problems.I think you can try to talk with other people in the
recreation .In the class, you should join the group work and express your thoughs.It can help you to communicate with others better.You should be friendly to everyone and smile to your teacher and classmates whenyou meet them.You also should often take part in the class activities like sports meetings.Not only relax youself,but also make more friends.
Don't be very worried about that things.I beilive that you can get on well with others.
