Last year,I did not like my English class.Every class was like a bad dream.
去年,我并不喜歡英語課,每一節(jié)英語課就像一場噩夢.
The teacher spoke so quickly yhat I did not understand her most of the time.
老師講話這么快以至于我大多數(shù)時間都聽不懂她講的內容.
I was afraid to ask questions because of my poor pronunciation.
我害怕提問,只因我的英語發(fā)音很糟糕.
I just hid behind my textbook and never said anything.
我只好把臉藏在課本后面,從不發(fā)言.
Then one day I watched an English movie called Toy Story.
后來有一天,我觀看了英語電影《玩具總動員》.
I fell in love with this exciting and funny movie!
我喜歡上了這部刺激好玩的電影!
So then I began to watch other English movies ,too.
所以我后來還觀看了其他的英語電影.
Although I could not understand everything the characters said,
盡管我并不都能理解角色們說的話,
their body language and the expressions on their faces helped me to get the meaning.
但是他們的肢體語言和臉上的表情卻有助于我的理解.
I also realized I could get the meaning by listening for just the key words.
我也意識到,可以通過只聽關鍵詞就能理解.
My pronunciation improved as well by listening to the interesting conversations in English movies.
通過聽英語電影里面有趣的會話我的發(fā)音也提高了.
I discovered that listening to something you are interested in is the secret to language learning.
我發(fā)現(xiàn),聽一些感興趣的東西是語言學習的秘訣.
I also learned useful sentences like “It’s a piece of cake” or “It serves you right.”
我還學到了像“小菜一碟”或者“你活該”這樣的有用語句.
I did not understand these sentences at first.
我起初并不明白這些句子的含義.
But because I wanted to understand the story,I looked up the words in a dictionary.
但我因為想了解故事,所以就用詞典來查單詞.
Now I really enjoy my English class.
現(xiàn)在我真的很喜歡我的英語課堂了.
I want to learn new words and more grammar so that I can have a better understanding of English movies
我很想學習新單詞和更多的語法,以便我對英語電影有更好的理解能力.
