系動詞多用于主系表結(jié)構(gòu)中.be(is /am /are/was/were)最常見.
還有一些感官動詞:smell,sound,feel,look,taste依次譯為:聞起來,聽起來,摸起來,看起來,吃起來.后面皆跟形容詞.
The rice smells nice.
Her voice sounds sweet.
The cloth feels soft.
You look tired.
The fish tastes delicious.
還有一些在特定情況下是系動詞:stay,get,remain,go.
例如:
The food can stay fresh when frozen.
He got angry at my words.
The handsome man remains single.
Her face went pale on hearing the news.
還有turn/grow
Her face turned red then.
Milk makes us grow strong.
