'What should I do after my graduation?What kind of professional person am I going to be to make contributions to society and families?',as a freshman in engineering college,I have asked myself these questions many times since the moment that I stepped into university.
As time goes by,to become a reputable architect such like Jørn Utzon who designed the Sydney Opera House or to be known as a legendary sculptor as Auguste Bartholdi who made himself a name by completing his most famous sculpture – the Statue of Liberty,are no longer my biggest dreams about my career.Instead of,I would like to dedicate myself as an ordinary constructor to build public traffic roads and infrastructures among rural areas in my country.
12th May,2008,a date that would be remembered forever by all Chinese people.After the tragic natural disaster,Wen Chuan,a small town in the south west China swallowed by a terribly sudden earthquake.Watching those residents who had lost their love ones and life work during the earthquake,I felt deeply sorry for them and,sincerely,hoped to do something for my miserable compatriots.
I would like to be known and rich as anybody does.However,if reputation and wealth are everything that one should pursuits,I would rather become a devotee than chase after fame and gain.
By the time of graduation,I should have armed with professional expertise,I wish to dedicate my knowledge to the rebuilding of Wen Chuan and to the construction to many other places need me.
