October 14,1952,Major Battle begins.The night of October 19,Huang Jiguang where the second battalion was ordered to counterattack the enemy occupying positions of 597.9 Highlands surface.When the assault troops blocked,large casualties,has been appointed correspondent Huang Jiguang camp to come forward and take the initiative Qingzhan,destroy the enemy firepower.In the case of wounded comrades sacrificed himself to bring ammunition exhausted,and Huang Jiguang decided to use his body to block the enemy loophole for the assault troops victory opened up a path,only 22 years old when the sacrifice.
Huang Jiguang heroic,won the highest honor in the Korean War - he was the volunteer leadership WORM Principal organs function,and awarded the "super hero" title (the other super heroes are Yanggen Si);'s unit for the Chinese Communist Party Committee ratified his official party ; the Standing Committee of the DPRK supreme People's Assembly posthumously awarded him "the DPRK hero" title and Venus medal,level flag medal.Huang Jiguang finally buried in the martyrs' cemetery in Shenyang Beiling.
