After nearly 3 or 4 months basketball practice, on February 12, our team went to Mongolia for ACAMIS. It was a different experience to me. I had never played basketball before and also had never gone to Mongolia before. So everything for me was just very interesting.
The day before we went to Mongolia, I heard a lot of people say that Mongolia was very cold and about minus 30 degree, so I brought a lot of warm jackets, they were actually very useful. In the morning ofFebruary 12, we went to China Airport. But unfortunately the flight was delayed, so we just stayed at airport hotel for several hours. If we knew the plane was going to delay, we could just finish that day’s classes before going to airport.
Finally we got Mongolia; it was freezingly cold and was snowing. We went to international school of Ulaanbaatar which was the school who hosted ACAMIS, our host family pick us in the school. My host family are Indian. they were very nice and kind to me and I liked my host family. The second day of Mongolia we had our first game, but we had bad luck because we just 1 (2) point lose that game. And the games came after that we all lost, I think it is because they played so well and they all played basketball for a few years and our team just was made up a few month ago. This was a little disappointments, but we all had fun during this day, so it was enough. We just need more practice and after 1 or 2 years we will beat them.
The last day we went to a mall to buy souvenirs. it was interesting and we left. it was normal, the flight didn’t delay. We came back to China at about six and prepared the next day’s classes. i felt tired
