    在網(wǎng)絡(luò)教育實(shí)踐中,由于圖像信息具有直觀、形象、易懂和信息量大等特點(diǎn),因此在遠(yuǎn)程教育實(shí)踐中得到了最廣泛的應(yīng)用而且無(wú)疑具有舉足輕重的作用.雖然圖像信息有著許多的優(yōu)點(diǎn),但也存在不可回避的潛在問(wèn)題,其中一個(gè)主要問(wèn)題就是其數(shù)據(jù)量過(guò)于龐大.大數(shù)據(jù)量的圖像信息會(huì)給存儲(chǔ)器的存儲(chǔ)容量,通信干線信道的帶寬,以及計(jì)算機(jī)處理速度增加極大的壓力,對(duì)遠(yuǎn)程教育實(shí)踐而言也是具有重大的影響的,會(huì)造成通信堵塞、網(wǎng)絡(luò)延遲、語(yǔ)音圖像不同步等一系列問(wèn)題.因此,需要在保持原圖像中包含的本質(zhì)信息的基礎(chǔ)上,對(duì)通信和存儲(chǔ)時(shí)必需的數(shù)據(jù)進(jìn)行壓縮.利用圖像壓縮,可以減輕圖像存儲(chǔ)和傳輸?shù)呢?fù)擔(dān),使圖像在網(wǎng)絡(luò)上實(shí)現(xiàn)快速傳輸和實(shí)時(shí)處理.
    有關(guān)圖像壓縮編碼的國(guó)際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)很多,基于離散小波變換為主的多分辨率編碼方式JPEG2000是目前靜態(tài)圖像中壓縮比最高圖像質(zhì)量最好的,但也有不足之處,主要體現(xiàn)在編解碼時(shí)間較長(zhǎng),重構(gòu)圖像邊緣有毛刺,不平滑等.本文對(duì)JPEG2000壓縮算法進(jìn)行了初步的研究并嘗試對(duì)其進(jìn)行改進(jìn).
