English is a worldwide language.It is one of the most important tools for people to learn knowledge and gain information from the world and communicate with international society.It can help you operate the computer easily,guide foreigners in a new place,understand what a booklet of imported goods means,consult the latest foreign material directly instead of waiting for translation works and so on.English language is a very important tool for us to catch up with the developed countries more quickly.It is said that a total illiterate person is one who does not know English or the computer in the near future.I often have this joke with my students:If you do not master English,some day you will be put under pressure to learn it in the classroom.
Students in country middle schools have little chance to communicate with the outside world.The use and practice of English seem impossible.Quite a lot of countryside students think it is hard to learn English.They lack interest in learning English.In the course of my teaching,I accumulated some experience in cultivating students’ interest.I find it helpful to my teaching.I like to share it with any other people of the same occupation.
